Have any of you taken IS-317 through the FEMA Independent Study website? This is a good refresher course. Please provide some feedback for other members.

CERT volunteers can also use the Public Health Reserve Corps's online training portal MRC-TRAIN. This website has tons of online public health preparedness trainings. The volunteer coordinator will frequently announce trainings offered through this system that will help you become a more prepared health department volunteer. The MRC-TRAIN has a discussion board, course tracking system, and links to relevant program websites. Registration takes less than 5 minutes. Download the MRC-TRAIN Fact Sheet to learn how to register then go to http://mrc.train.org to get started!

Orange County CERT members are encouraged to complete Incident Command System (ICS) training at levels 100, 200, and 700. Incident Command System training was developed by FEMA for persons involved with emergency planning, response, or recovery efforts. All CERT members should have working knowledge of ICS. Please download our ICS Instruction Sheet to learn how to register and complete IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 through the FEMA Independent Study Institute website.
